Get InvolvedFestive Season AppealHelp Combat the trafficking of Women in Vietnam While it is impossible to determine accurate numbers, the ILO believes that each year about 2.4 million people are traded around the globe, with virtually every part of the world affected. One place where this occurs is in the Hai Duong province in rural Vietnam. Since 2006, Union Aid Abroad has been working here with the Hai Duong Women’s Union to combat this exploitation of women and children. The year before we started our anti-trafficking project 250 people – 248 women and 2 children – were trafficked to southern China from the Hai Duong province, according to official figures. The numbers are likely to be much higher because the stigma of having been trafficked means many women do not come forward to be counted.... Become a Global Justice Partner Make Life Fair Everywhere.
