Cyclone Nargis devastates Burma

The cyclone that hit Burma over the weekend is a catastrophe for the people of Burma. Already the poorest people in South East Asia who are dealing daily with the effects of a brutal callous regime today they are also dealing with the after effects of this cyclone.
A shortage of food, rising prices on all essentials including food, water and fuel mean that the death toll of the cyclone is yet to be fully realised.
This report by the Center for Excellence in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance has the details of the cyclone and the effects it will have for the people of Burma.
