Refugee Week ‘A Place to Call Home’ is being marked from 15-21 June. One of the best ways to begin the Week is by coming to Balmain to hear an update on Western Sahara. Morocco’s three decade long occupation of Western Sahara has forced over half of the indigenous Saharawi population to seek exile in Algerian refugee camps. Those who remain in occupied territories suffer daily human rights abuses at the hands of Moroccan occupying forces.
