Events for Burma & Aung San Suu Kyi08 March 2009Alan Clements, former Buddhist monk, war correspondent, author, activist, and long time supporter of Aung San Suu Kyi and Burma's struggle for freedom and democracy is touring Melbourne, Sydney and Byron Bay through March.
"Please use your liberty to help us achieve our own." ~ Aung San Suu Kyi, Burma's (imprisoned) Peace laureate Alan Clements,"one of the most compelling voices of our time," (-Jack Healey, former director, Amnesty International), will be presenting evening talks and day-long workshops in Melbourne (March 13 & 15), Sydney(March 20 & 22) and Byron Bay (March 28 & 29). Alan's presentations are what reviewers describe as, "a liberating event that ignites heart and conscience, empowering one to take risks ... to think and feel outside the box, breaking lock step with fear and conformity, and taking everyday actions to manifest your hopes and dreams." Alan's events are benefits to raise awareness of Aung San Suu Kyi with whom he co-authored the newly updated and recently released book, "The Voice of Hope" and "Instinct for Freedom."
