ITUC Issues Resolution on Sustainable and Just Development

The International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), which represents over 176 million workers in 156 countries, has issued a strong resolution on sustainable and just development.

The resolution rejects the neoliberal growth model that has dominated development strategies. It affirms the key role that decently paid jobs and good working conditions can have on development of nations.
Poverty cannot be solved and countries cannot develop unless key institutional inequalities and injustices are dealt with.
