Position Vacant: Project Officer for the Pacific04 January 2011Union Aid Abroad-APHEDA is seeking a part-time (4 days a week) Sydney-based Project Officer for a 12 month position to manage programs in the Pacific. Applicants will need among other things a high level of skills and experience in program and team management and community development experience internationally, leadership abilities, excellent communication skills and good administration skills. Recent experience of community development in the Pacific/Solomon Islands, a distinct advantage, and proficiency in a Pacific language is also an advantage. The salary for the position is $50,000 p/a pro-rata, plus 9% superannuation and allowances for overseas travel.
