Aceh: Building Civil Society
Union Aid Abroad –APHEDA is working with WALHI and People’s Crisis Centre (PCC) to support their initiatives to build the capacity of civil society once again.
- Union Aid Abroad -APHEDA is funding the construction of an Environmental Resource Centre for WALHI. This centre is going to be used for their office, as well as training and information dissemination centre.
- UAA-APHEDA is providing program development training to WALHI 34 member organisations on needs analysis, problem diagnosis, and problem identification.
- Funding will also be provided for public outreach activities through their web page and information bulletins.
Union Aid Abroad -APHEDA is supporting PCC to build the capacity of their community workers to increase their skills in carrying out advocacy at the grassroots/community level. The workers will be attending workshops on human rights, disaster management and community reconstruction.
