In a powerful show of solidarity, more than 40 riders took part in the Emergency Ride for Gaza in December, braving the heat to collectively circle the scenic Brisbane River, effectively raising awareness about the ongoing Palestinian humanitarian crisis.

The initiative successfully raised over $4600, which was directed towards supporting APHEDA’s partner organisation in Palestine, the MA’AN Development Center.

A heartwarming highlight was the Children’s Ride, where young participants added significance to the cause. Notable speakers like Omar Ashour from Falesteen Inc. and Rhonda Kelly from Labor Friends of Palestine shared insights post-ride. Justice for Palestine engaged attendees with an informative stall.

The presence of Palestinian Ambassador Izzat Abdulhadi added honour to the event, emphasizing the global importance of supporting the Palestinian cause. The success of the Emergency Ride for Gaza highlighted the power of community-driven initiatives, echoing the call for justice and humanitarian support for the Palestinian people.
