The Hon. Pat Conroy, Minister for Defence Industry, Minister for International Development & the Pacific will be the keynote speaker at Union Aid Abroad – APHEDA’s global solidarity dinner in Sydney on Thursday October 20, 2022.

The Minister will speak about the new federal government’s priorities in the aid program, and Australia’s relationship with Pacific Island nations.

Our annual dinner brings together hundreds of unionists, activists, and internationalists to support a great cause and have some fun. It’s also an important source of fundraising for APHEDA.

As part of our international solidarity focus, you’ll hear from activists with the Myanmar Campaign Network, who will give an update the pro-democracy movement in that country and how we can support them.

Plus, as in previous years, there will be a raffle, silent auction and live auction on the night. Some of the wonderful prizes up for grabs this year include a ‘Walk With Us’ Uluru Statement from the Heart banner that was hung in Sydney Trades Hall, a signed copy of Sam Wallman’s new book ‘Our Members Be Unlimited’, a tour of the Sydney Cricket Ground, a bottle of wine signed by Julia Gillard, and more prizes to be unveiled in the weeks ahead.

Book your table today!!.

The dinner will be held on Thursday, October 20 at Hurlstone Park RSL, Sydney at 6.30pm. Book your ticket here: https://events.humanitix.com/2022-annual-dinner-sydney/tickets
