Thanks to the support of each one of you, we were able to raise $600K for aid to Palestinians in Gaza who are suffering one of the worst humanitarian crises of our times.

The work of our partner organisation in Gaza has unfolded in an extraordinarily challenging context. Sami Khader, Director of MA’AN Development Center, highlighted the harsh reality: “Our people have endured 16 years of oppressive blockade, turning Gaza, home to 2.4 million Palestinians, into the world’s largest open-air prison.”

Following attacks by the Israeli military, MA’AN’s Gaza offices are in ruins. Moreover, one employee was recently killed—the fifth during the invasion. Despite the difficult circumstances, their work, partially funded by you, persists, even amid personal risks.

MA’AN has sent us a full report of their emergency relief activities. Even in this dire context, they have provided:

  • Cash Assistance and Vouchers: Immediate relief for over 2,000 affected families.
  • Mental health and psychosocial “first aid”: Psychosocial support through recreational activities and games was provided to 14,595 children and support interventions to 4,500 caregivers.
  • Dignity and hygiene kits: 520 hygiene kits were distributed to shelter schools and displaced families and 677 dignity kits for children and women.
  • Non-food items for internally displaced persons (IDP): Distribution of winterised tents, bedding sets, winter clothes kits, over 4,433 blankets, and 3,306 sealing-off kits.
  • Emergency water supply: Ensuring vulnerable populations have access to over 5,5M Liters of drinking water and sanitation services to 60,153 displaced individuals.
  • Provision of hot meals and food baskets: Distribution of 22,210 hot meals to displaced families since the start of the war and food parcels for 27,692 households in the Rafah governorate.
