Union Aid Abroad-APHEDA took 12 members to Timor Leste for a week in August to visit its projects and meet with union leaders, women and farmers who are organising for change.
Domestic work is seen as an increasingly important source of income for young women. However, their vulnerability is compounded by a lack of legal and social protections, with domestic work excluded from Timor Leste’s labour code.
This year Union Aid Abroad-APHEDA is hosting a study tour for unionists to visit APHEDA’s projects in Timor Leste.
